Whether you are new to the game or an experienced tennis player, the IU Tennis Center is your new home for tennis in Bloomington. A Tennis Center membership is the first step to access all of the wonderful programs and services we provide. 

Our rates compare to similar facilities across Indiana and the quality of our programs and facility make your IU Tennis Center membership a great value!

Memberships expire one year from the date of purchase and is required for participation in programs such as clinics, tournaments, and match play.
A photo ID must be presented in order to purchase a membership or day pass.

Perks

Being a member at the IU Tennis Center has many perks. Explore our various offerings for members.

  • Free court time: Receive one free hour of court time (your portion only) when you join or renew. Walk-on or reserved.
  • Friday night freebies: "Buy One, Get One Free" court time Friday nights from 6 p.m. to close! Reserve an hour, get the second hour free. Reserve one court for an hour, get the court next to you for free. Call 812-855-5750, ext. 0 to reserve.
  • Member Appreciation Day: Check our calendars for Member Appreciation Days each semester. Free court time & ball machine rentals all day (first-come, first-served) for current members as a token of appreciation to you.
  • Half-price holiday court rates: During the week of Spring Break and the last two weeks of December, enjoy half price court rates. Invite a friend and play twice as much!
  • Free birthday court time: Show a valid ID with your birth date & get up to two hours of free court time (your portion only). Same day/active members only. Walk-on or reserved.

Services

The IU Tennis Center has various services to meet the needs of our members. Take a look at our various options to help you play your best.

  • Racquet stringing and gripping: A variety of string and grip is available. String cost varies and includes Wilson Synthetic Gut, Wilson Sensation, Wilson Revolve, Luxilon 4G, and Luxilon 4G Soft. Labor is $12 if you purchase string here; $18 if you bring your own string.
  • Free ball hopper access: Ball hoppers are available at no cost for members in good standing.
  • Pro shop: A variety of tennis accessories are available at the control center, including tennis balls, grips, string, dampeners, and IURS Tennis Center All Day apparel.
  • Fitness area: Featuring a TRX treadmill and TRX weight equipment, the fitness area upstairs is available to members at no  additional charge.
